OnCourse Cayman is proud to announce THREE new Group Therapy Programs this Fall!
These specialized groups include:
- Teen Power Tools for Life EAP Group
- Overcoming Trauma EAP Group
- DBT Adult Skills Training Groups
The Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) programs focus respectively on helping teenagers build life skills and gaining insight on overcoming trauma, while being surrounded by horses. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) is a talking therapy that identifies thinking patterns and helps manage emotions. Learn more about each Group Therapy Program offered:

Teen Power Tools for Life EAP Group
Calling all teens! Join us at the barn to learn important Life Skills and Power Tools for Living including Leadership, Problem-solving, Effective Communication and Building Relationships.
Groups are run by Dr. Alexandra Bodden, Clinical Psychologist, and Ms. Shanna Pandohie, Equine Specialist, both are certified with the Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA).
**All activities are done on foot on the ground. No riding involved.**
Teens (14-18 years) with difficulties with managing stress or building relationships
- Monday afternoons 4:00pm-5:00pm
- Cowboy Town Stables
- 8 week program
- CI$89.00 per person per session; insurance may cover
- Starting 16th September

Overcoming Trauma EAP Group
Trauma can have a major impact in our lives. Come and see how horses can help you to gain new skills and insights to overcome trauma, build healthy relationships and create a fulfilling life.

- Adults (18+) who have experienced trauma
- Monday evenings 5:30pm-6:30pm
- Cowboy Town Stables
- 8 week program

DBT Adult Skills Training Groups
DBT is one of the leading programs for helping persons with Anxiety, Depression, Addictions and/or Trauma learn practical skills for managing difficult emotions and improving relationships.
DBT has four main areas: Core Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Distress Tolerance. We will be beginning with Core Mindfulness. These skills help us learn to be in the moment, better manage stress and be more positive and engaged in activities in our daily lives. They are also the foundation for the other modules.
Each module will be 8 weeks.
- Adults (17+) who have difficulties with managing emotions, tolerating difficult situations or building healthy relationships.
- Thursday lunchtime 12:30pm-1:30pm
- OnCourse Cayman Office in Regatta Office Park (WB Road)
