Job Opportunities


The Therapist will be responsible for helping to provide direction and support to all our patients. They will actively help patients build coping mechanisms to guide them through stressful situations. Their duties will also include listening to clients, asking necessary questions, and developing effective strategies to improve their lives in addition to coordinating with support networks, government and community resources. The functions of this role will include but not be limited to the following duties & responsibilities:

  • Providing therapy face to face or by telehealth
  • Working with individuals, families or groups and building a relationship of trust and respect with clients
  • Assessing patients through clinical interviews and observations to determine the appropriate treatment recommendations
  • Creating effective treatment plans collaboratively with clients that include counsellingor other services
  • Regularly discussing the treatment plan with clients to identify progress and room for improvement
  • Educating patients with appropriate coping skills to help through tough situations
  • Keeping confidential records, recording the patient’s progress and changing their treatment plan when needed


  • The successful candidate will be friendly and professional, with outstanding people skills
  • A Masters degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage/Family Therapy or Counselling
  • A minimum of 3 years’ post graduate experience as a professional Psychologist, Counsellor, Marriage/Family Therapist or Social Worker
  • Experience working with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Experience providing Couples’ counselling is preferred
  • Proven experience in developing effective treatment plans
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude to empathize with clients and build a positive therapeutic relationship
  • Good time management skills
  • Applicants must be fully registered as a Health Practitioner in Australia, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, or United States of America and eligible for registration with CPAM

Salary: CI$2,500 per month plus commission, health insurance & pension benefits and 20 days vacation per annum.
