Meet Our Team

Dr. Alexandra Bodden

Dr. Alexandra Bodden is licensed as a Psychologist in the Cayman Islands and Maryland, USA.  Dr. Bodden holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and additional master’s degrees in General Psychology and Clinical Psychopharmacology. For the past seven years she has worked in community mental health clinics and hospitals in Florida and Cayman, specializing in working with adult survivors of childhood abuse, persons with substance use difficulties and persons with severe and persistent mental illness. Dr. Bodden works at OnCourse Cayman where she provides individual and group therapy, conducts psychological assessments for adults, adolescents and children and facilitates corporate workshops for skill and team-building purposes. She is also an adjunct lecturer in psychology at the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI).  She has presented workshops and papers in local and international conferences on topics such as domestic violence, homelessness, substance use and child abuse.  Dr. Bodden is also actively involved in the community facilitating a monthly radio show on topics related to mental health and providing informational sessions to local organizations on topics such as mindfulness, healthy relationships and stress management.

Dr. Colleen Brown

Dr. Colleen Brown is a licensed psychologist in the Cayman Islands as well as Pennsylvania, USA.  Dr. Brown holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and an additional master’s degree in General Psychology.   For the past eight years, Dr. Brown has worked in a variety of settings in the United States, including community mental health clinics, day/partial hospitalization programming, crisis programming, residential settings, school settings, and juvenile detention facilities in the states of Pennsylvania, New York, and Delaware.  Dr. Brown specializes in working with children and adolescents with a variety of mental health issues, but has received specialized training with children with severe mental illness as well as those who have experienced abuse or violence.  At OnCourse Cayman, Dr. Brown provides individual and group therapy, conducts psychological assessments for adults, adolescents, and children, and facilitates corporate workshops.

Dr. Brown implements an integrated therapeutic approach, as she believes each client presents with unique issues and treatment must be tailored accordingly.  She is trained in utilizing primarily Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent Management Training (PMT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and behavior modification techniques.  She has had a multitude of experience in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of primary care physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and other professionals and believes it is essential for optimal client care.  She has presented papers and guest lectured on a variety of topics including child development, childhood trauma, behavioral techniques, and confidentiality issues.  She has a strong interest in diversity and the impacts of culture on the individual.

Ms. Angela Francis

Ms. Angela Franics brings 12 years of work as an Administrator for a local law firm to the OnCourse Cayman team.  She is a certified Medical Office Manager and is responsible for management of clients, such as scheduling, billing and referrals) as well as management of the medical records and office in general.  She is a kind and calm spirit who always makes clients feel welcome in our office!
